Some of my favorite Charlotte family photos happen just outside the front door. Bikes circling the driveway and grandparents settled into chairs cheering them on like it’s the main event. It’s not a “destination” session, it’s real life, unfolding in the place your family already knows by heart.
When grandparents are there, everything feels a little sweeter. There’s laughter from the sidelines, gentle reminders to watch for "your brother", steady hands adjusting helmets, and proud smiles after a successful ride around the yard. These moments carry so much meaning: wobbly bike starts, confident pedaling, and generations sharing the same stretch of pavement, together.
And when everyone needs a breather? Stepping back inside for a coloring break is always an added bonus. Crayons spread across the table, bikes forgotten for a few minutes, grandparents & parents sitting close and chatting, it’s the perfect pause before heading back out again. These are the sessions that feel warm, playful, and deeply familiar, capturing not just how your family looks, but how life feels right now.
