I love yoga! Over the past year and a half it has been a tool that has helped me feel more rooted and taken me to a place that helps balance my mental well-being (along with EMDR therapy). Recently I braved the unknown and left my house for yoga, lol. I was nervous, like most people are, to go to a yoga session that was outside of the walls of my home, my safe space. Charlotte Pop-Up Yoga hosted some sessions at my favorite coffee shop in Matthews, Brakeman's Coffee, and it has been magical. Everyone is so welcoming at yoga sessions. Everyone has different bodies, beliefs, nerves, acceptance... it's been a game changer experiencing yoga with others. Yoga has by far been the most accepting form of exercise I've ever experienced, along with the fact that it calms the mind, it's full of wonder.

I was invited to participate and photograph at local pop up event that was hosted by Natalie of Charlotte Pop-Up Yoga at Edge City Brewery and so I wanted to share some images from that event.

Yoga/Reiki Session

The yoga/reiki session was led by Jill of Ascending Wellness. I had never experienced reiki before and it was a nice treat.
