Diandre | CLASS OF 2020
Union Academy | Charlotte SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHER
In early March, Diandre and I first headed into Fort Mill, SC for his senior session! When he said that he wanted an urban vibe, but also was looking for lots of color and flowers for his senior photos, I was so excited. We started at the peach orchards when they were in bloom {& it was just about to pour rain down on us} and had so much fun. We were supposed to meet up at the end of March at Camp Northend, BUT Covid-19 happened... Dum dum dummmmmm. Luckily we were able to meet up right as we went into Phase 2 and we had an even better time in Camp Northend. {I wore a mask and kept my distance {as did his sweet mom}, we were safe}.
I love when seniors want urban looks for their portraits because there is such a variety of options to choose from at Camp Northend and really anywhere around Charlotte. For his portraits, Diandre owned his entire session. He was quick to laugh and have fun, he was confident and showed off all of his acting skills. He also brought his Mr. Union Academy sash to show off, it was great. He has been awarded scholarships for not only all of his academic achievements, but also for his volunteering and hard work with helping others. While this year did not end the way it should have, Diandre adapted and stayed positive. Look out world, this young man is going to change you {watch my film at the end and you'll see why}!
Diandre, I am so grateful to have had the chance to meet you and work with you. Your photos are absolutely incredible because of the awesome person you are. I’m so excited and thankful that I was the one you chose to document the end of your crazy senior year. I'm so proud of you {I know your family is too} and I look forward to watching all of the amazing accomplishments unfold.
